What Do I Want From Learn 2.1

I am intrested to see what else I can learn in Learn 2.1. I am not a regular blogger and find that a lot of the information covered is helpful in creating a knowledge bank that I can use in my personal and professional life. I hope it's an interesting ride.

Blogging After Learn 2.0

Before Learn 2.0, I think I may have read just a very few blogs in passing but never paid much attention to them. Now, I am noticing blogs everywhere and I am really finding it interesting what people have to say about certain subjects and issues. I think that I will continue to blog and now that I've been bitten by the blogging bug, I hope that there is a lot more blogging in my future. The good thing about this is that while you have computer access, you can communicate just about anywhere in the world. Stay in touch!

Week 10 Podcasting

I was able to sign up and download a book from netlibrary. Now I will have to listen to it on my computer. I am looking forward to podcasting. It is a nice way to get information, music and other fun stuff.

Week 9 Digital Music

DRM or no DRM? That is the question! I think that artists have the right to limit the reproduction of their works of art, but some limitations should be exempt when a purchaser puts out his/her money for the material. The buyer should be able to reproduce it for their personal use in different mediums. With that said, it does open the door for mass production by pirates to capitalize on the works of the artist. It is a risk that they take as artists.
On another point, I think that Liveplasma is a really cool way to expand your musical portfolio. Finding my favorite artist and learning of like artist was quite interesting. It is another way to expand your musical horizons. It was also enjoyable to listen to Emily Wallace's music and appreciate the talent we had here at OCLS. Why was't she an OCLS idol contestant?
I'm still trying to figure out the widgit thingamagig. In the meantime, I found some music from one of my favorite artists. http://www.mystrands.com/album/66968

Week 8 Flickr

I was happy to work with my co-workers to explore Flickr together. I have used Flickr before and find it to be quite interesting and it can have many uses. We had fun deciding what pictures to take and which ones would be uploaded. I think it worked out pretty good. Check out our pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8875477@N03/
